Burke & Sons, Inc. is a family owned company that initially began as a complete home improvement business in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania in June of 1976. As the years passed and the business grew, the construction portion was dissolved and the focus was put on sales and installation of residential and commercial window and door products only. With nothing less than outstanding quality and craftsmanship, we became known as "The Window Specialists."
Over the years as the business continued to grow, Burke & Sons opened a retail store offering several home improvement items to contractors and the general public. However, we continued to specialize in the installation of window and door products only.
In the interim, Burke & Sons began to produce replacement bay and bow window frames exclusively for major U.S. replacement window manufacturers, which is still a very vital part of the business today. Again, the high quality and craftsmanship that is demanded from Burke & Sons also goes into these units.
In October of 1992, the decision was made to expand our residential and commercial window and door division. Through continued growth, Burke & Sons purchased A&R Window and Door Systems, which is located in Indiana, Pennsylvania, taking along our high quality standards to this area as well. Here, we continued to operate under the A&R name until 1996, when the business was incorporated. At that time, the Indiana site also became known as Burke & Sons.
Both locations are still growing strong today. The showroom in Punxsutawney expanded in 1999 (nearly tripling in size) to offer many more products. Here, along with the vast variety of window and door products, you can still purchase several retail home improvement items over the counter as well.
Burke & Sons has been gratifying thousands of customers since 1976. We will always continue to strive to be number one in customer satisfaction. When it comes to installation of windows and doors… Nobody does it better!
